Who says healthy eating has to be boring?!! Dr. Ramaa Rao will show you how to cook absolutely delicious, vegetarian meals that are also easy to prepare. You'll not only experience how satisfying such eating can be, you'll also learn to loosen up, let go and actually have fun in the kitchen.

Good health depends on many factors, but an essential building block is the food we eat. Some constitutional types do best on a vegetarian diet. Other people need animal protein. But whether or not you eat meat, you can benefit from learning how to cook delicious tasting vegetables. By teaching you the tastes of different spices and helping you sense how to put them together, Ramaa will give you tools for being creative with your cooking.

The art of cooking involves pleasing our senses, paying attention to the aroma, color, texture, temperature and taste of food. The science of healthy eating, called Ayurveda in India, entails preparing energetically balanced, nourishing meals. Ramaa will combine both art and science in teaching you these easy-to-learn Indian secrets that aren't in the cookbooks. She looks forward to sharing her passion for cooking and her joy of healthy eating with you.

Workshop Leader: Dr. Ramaa Rao's acupuncture practice, Healing Touch Family Acupuncture, is located in Medfield. She was born in India and thrived there on the traditional vegetarian diet. After coming to America, she assumed a busy schedule working as a physician. Out of necessity, she found ways to simplify traditional recipes so that she could prepare meals quickly and easily. She will share these short-cuts with you.
