SpiritSong is a powerful method for using your voice as a source of transformation
and healing.
The SpiritSong process involves grounding in your body, focusing on your
breath, allowing sound to emerge, and opening to the song that naturally
comes through. The power of the practice is amplified by being held in loving
witness by your fellow SpiritSingers.
In a SpiritSong there are no "wrong" notes,
and no such thing as singing out of tune. Each person has
their own, uniquely beautiful, authentic voice. The
tone that emerges from your body is the sound that you
are meant to "sing." Your body wants to release dis-ease and
allow Spirit to flow freely through you as a channel. When you allow
the song to come through, you are naturally led to greater freedom, creativity,
and wholeness.
SpiritSinging can have surprising and delightful results. It helps to
release dis-ease in your physical / emotional body, and thereby promote
deep healing. Helping you let go of "judgemental mind," leads to
freedom of self-expression and creativity. It also increases your ability to hear
the voice of Spirit deep inside.
Depending on your intention, SpiritSong is a spiritual practice, a healing
modality or just pure pleasure. In SpiritSong sessions you learn the
practice of SpiritSong and also join with others in learning and singing many
uplifting chants and songs.
This series of six Wednesday evening sessions will guide you to
free your voice and experience the joy of opening to song.
Laurie Markoff and Tom Maynard,
are certified SpiritSong teachers, with many years of experience facilitating sound
healing circles. Tom, a singer/songwriter and sound healing practitioner,
