Native people define "Medicine" as that which creates
harmony and balance. They use the "Medicine Wheel" to promote
personal healing and sacred connecting with the Earth.
This workshop will explore the traditional sacred wheel.
Through prayer, reflection and song, you will experience what
the Medicine Wheel has to offer - for yourself and for the Earth.
You will learn the symbolism of the four directions, the meaning of
the stone positions, the animals associated with them, and how to
use their messages for personal insight and direction. A guided
"journey" will enable you to find your present place on the wheel.
You will also learn about the moons, the four spirit paths, where
you entered the wheel at birth and what this means for your life.
During the afternoon, you will participate in the ritual of
constructing a Medicine Wheel. This hands-on learning experience
will teach you how to build your own wheel and how to tap into
its "medicine."
