Mother Nature offers us an abundance of healing plants, many of
which grow right outside our back doors. This class will
give you a way of thinking about herbs and enable you to
begin using these healing gifts from the green world.
Lesley will share the ways she uses some of her favorite
herbs. She will demonstrate how to prepare herbal infusions,
discuss the reasons for taking herbs this way, and address
how they benefit health. Participants will be encouraged
to shed the allopathic way of thinking about herbs and to
embrace a holistic perspective.
Class size will be limited to 9 people. You will learn how to
prepare nourishing infusions from dried plants.
A companion
class is planned for early next summer. That class will focus on
fresh plants and include how to prepare herbal tinctures and oils.
