Worried about the flu? Weakened immune system? In need of some health power? Phyllis D. Light, a nationally prominent herbalist and holistic health expert, will offer a workshop to help you bolster your immunity, improve your health and prepare for a potential flu outbreak. This important, and timely, workshop will give you the tools needed for helping yourself, your family and those you care for.

Addressing the Flu, Chronic Infections, and Chronic Inflammation: Saturday, June 10th (10am - 5pm). You will learn to identify symptoms of the common flu, the avian flu and chronic infection. Phyllis will present ways of helping your body overcome these diseases by using anti-viral and anti-bacterial herbs, foods for the immune system, and traditional folk healing techniques. Also covered will be the complexities of our immune system and how low level viral infections, chronic conditions and inflammation compromise immunity and long-term health.

Building Immunity the Holistic Way: Sunday, June 11th (10am - 5pm). Phyllis will describe the intricacies of our immune system and the interaction of multi-organ systems for good health. Particular attention will be paid to the digestive, lymphatic, endocrine and nervous systems. The role of stress, emotional trauma and the mind/body connection will also be explored. You will learn ways to build immunity by strengthening these systems with herbs, foods, and traditional healing techniques.

Workshop Instructor: Phyllis D. Light, RH, LMT brings over 25 years of experience working as a clinical herbalist, holistic practitioner, and health educator.
