Deep spirituality isn't tied to a particular faith or spiritual practice.  It involves owning, deep within ourselves, our inter-relationship with all that exists.

This means that when you walk the land you know that the earth beneath your feet is alive, that the tree beside you and the stones over which you step have their own consciousness, and that all the world around you and you are one in God.  As such, you are a divine being.

Deep spirituality entails knowing within your heart, within your mind, and within the mind behind the mind (some refer to this as "soul") that we are all one.

Living in this knowledge is called "deep spirituality."

Duncan Sings-Alone, Cherokee healer and spiritual leader, will facilitate this workshop and guide us towards deepening our connection to all that is sacred.  In addition to traditional instruction, our time together will include story telling, drumming meditations, and other experiential exercises, some of which will be outside, in nature.

Duncan Sings-Alone spent nine years as an ordained protestant minister before giving up that path to follow the spiritual teachings of his Native American heritage. A practicing ceremonialist for nearly 40 years, Duncan is part of the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee Indians. He founded the Free Cherokees, an intertribal cultural organization, in the late 80s and is considered their Grandfather Chief.

Duncan is also a licensed doctor of psychology, though retired from private practice, a Reiki Master, and an active member of the First Universalist Society of Franklin, MA.  His classes tap into underlying truths behind many spiritual traditions.
